Implementation Research Program
Melian Foundation is investing in research-based health system interventions to strengthen community-level service delivery. This program works closely with partners to develop sustainable systems for Community Health Worker (CHW) management, service provider capacity, and learning infrastructure.
CHW System Integration
With support from Nebula Healthcare and the Ministry of Health Zanzibar, Melian Foundation is implementing a unified CHW model across the region. This model focuses on standardized training, inventory and supply control, data monitoring, and centralized coordination of all health-related activities.
Digital Learning Infrastructure
In partnership with Nilax Healthcare Ltd and Axis Health Services, the Foundation is building an E-learning platform that supports CHWs and health providers with practical skills in patient care, management, and home-based service delivery—especially for underserved and rural populations.
Expected Impact
These initiatives will enable scalable, technology-enabled training and supervision mechanisms that improve the quality and accountability of health services. The program is also strengthening research, monitoring, and evaluation capacities at local levels.
