Integrated Health Services

Melian Foundation collaborates with the Ministry of Health to deliver integrated primary healthcare services across Tanzania. Our efforts focus on Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health and Nutrition (RMNCAH-N), as well as Mental Health and Family Planning.

Primary Health Interventions

We work at the community level through trained Community Health Workers (CHWs) who conduct household visits to ensure that services such as family planning, adolescent health, and nutrition are accessible. Our goal is to increase skilled deliveries, health literacy, and care-seeking behavior.

RMNCAH-N Focus

The Foundation integrates RMNCAH-N as a core service line, supporting facility-based and community-based platforms. This includes improving the availability of family planning methods, promoting maternal health checkups, and encouraging adolescent care access.

Mental Health and Community Well-being

Our programs include psychosocial support and mental health services as part of comprehensive community wellness. We are committed to addressing both physical and emotional health to foster holistic care and resilience.

Partnership with MoH and Local Structures

We work in alignment with the Ministry of Health and local governance systems to implement Integrated Primary Health Care using national guidelines and reporting tools, with CHWs as the delivery backbone.

Program Impact

By combining service delivery with data monitoring, behavior change communication, and community engagement, we drive progress toward Universal Health Coverage and SDG 3—ensuring healthy lives for all.
