YOUTH of ADOLESCENT AGE and YOUTH WITH DISABILITIES (YWD's)
Gender and Youth initiatives aim to promote equality of all, opportunities between women, men, girls and boys, to ensure that development efforts have equity of impact on all, and ensure that no one is left behind in the society. To achieve this, Melian Foundation undertakes the following: Advocate for full involvement, participation and partnership of women and men, youths in both their productive lives and collaborate with the Ministry of Community Development, Gender and Children (MCDGC) to expand opportunities for women and youths.
Melian Foundation is passionate about empowering youths to become agents of change in their communities. In collaboration with relevant Government Ministries including Ministry of Health, PORALG, Ministry of Community development and Ministry of Water; through various initiatives, we provide opportunities for young people to develop leadership skills, economic empowerment, access to education and healthcare services and engage in advocacy for issues affecting their peers.

Inclusion:
We are advocating for young people inclusion in the development strategies designed and implemented by government and partners. Youth are resourceful in the developing communities if they are mentored, influenced and empowered. Our role is to work collaboratively with our partners and government to implement inclusion programs across different priority areas. -
Security:
Melian Foundation is advocating for safer environment where youth of adolescent age are free to express themselves and obtain needed support to pursue their dreams. Our role is to support and implement programs that will empower youth for impact to community development. -
YWD's:
Youth with disabilities have being ignored and not given chances to make choices of their own. Social inclusion gives them the space to INTERACT and share their opinion.
